Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Pistachios
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Shredded coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. 1

In a food processor, blend the pitted dates until they form a sticky paste. Set aside.

  2. 2

Roughly chop the almonds and pistachios, leaving some pieces slightly chunky for texture.

  3. 3

In a mixing bowl, combine the date paste, chopped almonds, pistachios, and cardamom powder. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  4. 4

Line a small baking tray or container with parchment paper. Press the mixture firmly into the container to form an even layer.

  5. 5

Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.

  6. 6

Pour the melted chocolate over the date and nut mixture, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

  7. 7

Sprinkle shredded coconut on top of the melted chocolate for a decorative touch and extra flavor.

  8. 8

Refrigerate the tray for 1 to 2 hours, or until the chocolate has completely set.

  9. 9

Once set, cut into bars or squares and serve. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
