Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Matcha green tea powder
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 large Egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Water
Instructions
-
1
In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha powder and 1 tablespoon of water until smooth and lump-free. Set aside.
-
2
In a medium bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until medium-soft peaks form (about 2-3 minutes). Set aside in the refrigerator.
-
3
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar while whisking until it becomes glossy and firm.
-
4
Gently fold the matcha mixture into the whipped cream until combined.
-
5
Next, fold the egg whites into the matcha-cream mixture in two batches, being careful not to deflate the airy texture.
-
6
Add the vanilla extract and continue folding gently until everything is well combined.
-
7
Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
-
8
Serve as-is or garnish with a sprinkle of matcha powder on top for an extra touch!
